This is the fanart I commissioned from Blu3Mysticl3o in DeviantArt. It's a scene beside the lake of Taki in Lifeblood, if you remember--and Itachi was watching them from afar.
When I wrote the scene, I was listening to this excellent song, So maybe you'd get the mood of it--as Blu3Mysticl3o has pictured the scene even better than I had. They say a picture is a poem without words, after all. ;)
Remember the commission I said I arranged? This is it. KakashiXHinata fanart by the great Gabzillaz. And yes, I deliberately made Gabzy draw Kakashi shirtless--because he's hot. Thank you.
My idea for Lifeblood isn't entirely original, especially from the KakaHina side. So let me reiterate that, though KakaHina is an OTP of mine, the person who has written an entire insightful essay on KakaHina (and why this is a good pair) is eternal_llama . My fiction is based on her essays. Though I love KakaHina--even when I started reading Naruto, I would never be able to put into words on why it is such a good pairing as beautifully she did. It is like my thoughts that she put to words--which is why, if you like my story, you should read her essay.
She wrote the essay before I finished my studies, and now--after years--I want to write a story based on it. I also like her insights on Hinata. To me, Hinata is a subtle-strong type. I guess it is hardly uncommon for the western society (as controversial as this may sound) to view strength as only something visible. But raised with the Eastern values (though some Westerners can see this type of subtle strength Hinata possesses), I see a character for the traits, not the achievements. That is why usefulness never mattered to me. At least, it is not how I judge a character (but that's just me, and I'm not the only one, otherwise eternal_llama might have not written such a beautiful essay on KakaHina and Hinata).
I'm going to rant about pairing so...leave while you can! I'm not sure why you read this LJ, and since you like what I write, you'd read anyway... because admit it...
You love me.
*smug*
*shot to death*
I've come to terms that I like obscure, crack pairings. I mean the smaller the fandom is--the more ideal it is to me. Just now I realized I also like KakaIno, AsuHina (as in AsumaXHinata) and I've always loved YamaSaku too (remember Tenzou saved her from Sasuke, and from crashing to the ground because of her 4-tail Kyuubi injury? It drew the fangirliness in me, which is why one of these days I'm gonna write a YamaSaku).
(I'd probably take time, but I will write YamaSaku, I promise to myself. The thing is, it might take years from now--but I will yeah XD).
